Hello Beautiful Souls!

I’m Quynh - a seeker of simple wisdom and freedom in love and life.

Intuitive and inquisitive by nature, I've always known there is more to life than meets the eye.

Highlights

I'm a 1.5 generation Chinese-Vietnamese American woman and the oldest among my four siblings.

Prior to becoming a healer, I was an optometrist for 10 years.

After a personal crisis that led to a psychosis and spiritual awakening in 2017, I decided to follow my soul's calling toward deeper healing work with shame and trauma.

Now, I help support those in the AAPI community who are struggling with shame to see their pain and suffering through new eyes and perspectives.

Since shame is deeply held in the body and not just the mind, I use an integrative mind-body experiential approach to healing shame.

My Healing Journey

Like many first to second-generation Children of Asian Immigrants, I grew up living between 2 worlds:  the overly-responsible oldest sister/daughter at home, and the high-achieving student and professional in public.  By my mid-30s, I was feeling burnout, numb, angry, and depressed despite my outwardly cool, “I have it all together” demeanor.

My lowest moment came in 2017 after a devastating breakup, when I was hospitalized for a manic episode and diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder.  Upon leaving the hospital, I sunk into a deep depression about my own worth and what is to become of my life.  After a few months of being heavily medicated and feeling like a zombie, I realized I could not go on living like this

There MUST be another way.  There HAS to be another way.

So I did something radical.

I went into my pain and fear.  I became a student of them and through my healing journey, I discovered the well of shame underneath it all.

I learned to sit WITH the answers, no matter how bad or ugly they are, and be ok IN them.

Going into my pain and fears turned out to be the answer.

It taught me what true love and happiness is and isn't.

It revealed to me my deep capacity for love, forgiveness, acceptance, and compassion.

It reminded me of my vulnerability, fears, and weaknesses but also my strengths, courage, inherent goodness, and worth.

True healing of shame requires you to see, accept, and feel  through the pain in order to transform it.”

How I can Support You

I created Unburden Me as a safe space for AAPI individuals to go to connect, recover, and heal.

Unlike the traditional therapy or coaching model, I'm not here to tell you what to do, think, say, or be.  I'm simply here to remind you of what you already know but might have forgotten or are unaware of.

My role is to gently guide, support, and hold space for you until your truth can emerge.

All I ask is for you to be open and trusting enough to go within.

I Believe

...in people's capacity and ability to learn, grow and change.

...that everything in life is a lesson and every breakdown is an opportunity for a breakthrough.

...the purpose of life is to learn to give and receive love unconditionally in all its forms.

My Wish for You

No matter what happens in life, may you always find your way back home to yourself.
